You'll often want to read a resource in-depth and highlight the themes you find interesting to easily surface these ideas later. Highlighting resources is great for noting project-specific ideas that Genei hasn't automatically extracted from a resource.
If you plan to use a resource as the basis for a piece of writing, use highlights to signpost its key facts or arguments so you can easily reference them. Highlighting is also helpful for flagging a resource's essential information when sharing it with friends or colleagues who don't have a Genei account to summarise it for them automatically.
Step 1. Open a resource and select a string of text you want to highlight.
Step 2. Click the Highlight button.

Step 3. Change the colour of a resource highlight by clicking on the highlighted text, clicking the Change Colour button, and opening the Colour Selection Menu.
