In genei, there are two ways to take notes. You can skip to a short video at the bottom of this post if you'd prefer to learn by watching.
You can either take notes on a single document or notes that will persist across an entire folder.
You can switch between these by clicking on the '...' button in the top right hand corner of the notepad.
Whether you're taking notes on a single document or on a folder will made evident by the title of the notes (eg. Notes for "New Folder" or Notes for "#bodypostivity: A content analysis...").
When taking notes on an entire folder of documents, these notes will appear regardless of the document you are viewing in that folder.
If taking notes on an entire folder of document, you will also now have the option to link your ideas to certain passages of text.
To link notes, simply click the 'add link' button on the side of a passage of your notes.
Then highlight over a chosen part of the document that you'd like to link to your notes.
