What different summarisers does Genei have?

You can summarise resources using Genei’s Basic Short, Basic Standard, Basic Long, and Advanced summarisers. Different summarisers generate summaries with different lengths and levels of content analysis so you can tailor your Genei summaries to the style of content you’re writing.

When to use a different Genei summariser

Maybe you’re browsing short articles to stay up to date with the latest information on a topic and want extra-concise summaries that get straight to the point. In this case, you’ll want to use Genei’s Basic Short summariser to process your resources.

Alternatively, if you’re writing a literature review, you’ll want in-depth insights into your resources so you can understand and critique them effectively. In this case, you’ll want to generate resource summaries using Genei’s Basic Long or Advanced summarisers.

How to regenerate a resource’s summary with a different summariser

Step 1. Navigate to a project and open a resource.

Step 2. Click the Summary button on the right-hand side of the sticky bar above the resource.

Step 3. Click on a section header in the Summary Tab to expand its summary, and hover your cursor over the summary to show the Summary Actions menu.

Step 4. Click the Recompute Summary button in the Summary Actions menu.
